Lookup Types allow you to specify which sub-section of the Unit Lookup Code will be referred to when a Dynamic Lookup is used.
Select the Products tab.
Click Lookup Types.
A list of the existing lookup types is displayed.
Click the Add button (
).
The lookup type creation dialog opens
Enter a unique description and a unique code for the lookup type.
They do not need to match the name of the sub-section in the Unit Lookup Code.
Place a tick in the Show in Reports checkbox if you would like the code to be present in reports.
Click OK. The lookup type is added to the list.
The lookup type can now be specified when creating a dynamic lookup.
Import Lookup Types
Lookup Types can be imported from a spreadsheet by clicking the Import button (
). The description must be in the first column and the code must be in the second column.
